development

A site in Barra, a neighbourhood with strong tourism potential. The challenge was to add value and stand out in a market with high demand for investment-oriented real estate developments.

Inspired by boutique hotels, the Boutique Living concept was incorporated into the architecture, 3D imagery and campaign, with a focus on residents’ comfort and experience.

The beauty of Barra was captured through the eyes of photographers from Bahia, reinforcing the campaign concept: a sophisticated yet relaxed way of living.

The architecture prioritised wood, natural light and welcoming furnishings, creating a more comfortable experience both within the development and throughout the neighbourhood.

The campaign explored the Barra lifestyle. In partnership with some of the area’s most popular restaurants, influencers were invited to experience a Blue Day — with all the poetry that only a day in Barra can offer.

The development sold out in less than a week, delivering significant value appreciation and strong resale potential for investors.

About
the
project

1. The challenge — Setting the context

Barra already had several new real estate developments aimed at investors, yet none had introduced a strong concept capable of setting it apart. Perceptions of the neighbourhood remained limited, overlooking its true historical, cultural and geographical richness.

Barra is one of Salvador’s most distinctive neighbourhoods, with established infrastructure and a privileged location between Barra Lighthouse, Porto da Barra and the Bay of All Saints. The challenge was to create a sophisticated product with a strong identity — one that connected with the essence of the neighbourhood and transformed it into an extension of the development itself.

2. The concept — The guiding idea

The Blue Barra concept emerged from the need to stand out in the market by bringing a refined perspective to the neighbourhood and establishing a boutique positioning.

The idea was to treat Barra as an extension of residents’ lives, offering a sophisticated, relaxed way of living connected to local experiences.

The inspiration came from boutique hotels and Barra’s strong sporting and culinary culture. A photography exhibition created in partnership with photographers Gustavo Góes and Kiko Silva presented a fresh perspective on the neighbourhood and reinforced its identity throughout the campaign.

3. From project to product — Bringing the concept to life

Designed by GAM Arquitetura, the project featured a façade of blue tiles contrasting with grey surfaces, adjustable sunshades and asymmetrical canopies. Sophisticated yet understated, the design captured the idea of an elegant, sun-filled way of living.

The shared spaces were inspired by hotels such as Fera Palace. A swimming pool, gourmet space, fitness centre, laundry and coworking facilities formed a fluid, integrated and functional environment.

The unit types were optimised, with one-bedroom apartments that could be combined and an interior design concept that reflected the project’s boutique character.

4. The visual narrative

The visual identity was carefully developed to convey the atmosphere of a boutique hotel. Textures, finishes and warm lighting were incorporated into the renders and campaign imagery to bring this experience to life.

The graphic materials explored details and sensations: the sound of the swimming pool, the texture of wood, the view of the sea. The focus was on lifestyle, rather than square metres.

5. The campaign

The campaign was conceived as a curated collection of experiences. Every piece connected Blue Barra to the neighbourhood, reinforcing a sense of belonging and casual elegance.

Videos, films, brochures and promotional materials were created with a focus on detail and sensory experience.

By combining sophistication with approachability, the communication established a strong emotional connection with its audience.

6. Results — What impact did the project create?

Every unit was sold in just one week, demonstrating the strength of the concept and its narrative.

Blue Barra opened a new chapter in identity-led investment properties, proving that sophistication and an accessible price point are not mutually exclusive.

In addition to establishing itself in the market, the project influenced perceptions of Barra itself, which came to be seen as a neighbourhood where charm, convenience and identity could coexist.

Blue Barra demonstrated that even more compact real estate products can offer a distinctive lifestyle, a compelling visual narrative and a sense of belonging. In doing so, it established a new benchmark for Salvador’s property market.
